smartwatch support for iOS 7

Pebble smartwatch support for iOS 7 notification update now live

Apple has approved Pebble’s companion app that brings support for all notifications on iOS 7, which Pebble had announced last week. With the update, iPhone users will finally get a reason to buy the smartwatch as they would be able to get many more notifications than incoming calls and text messages. Essentially any app that does a banner or popup notification will be supported by Pebble.

The new notification functionality will work on the iPhone 4S and later, running on iOS 7. You can buy Pebble for $150 and can download the free companion app from Apple’s iTunes App Store.
Apart from announcing notification support for iOS 7, Pebble had also announced its new SDK that opens accelerometer API for developers.
