Twitter toughens encryption to thwart online snooping    San Francisco: Twitter on Friday announced it has toughened the encryption of traffic at the globally popular one-to-many messaging service to thwart online snooping. Twitter followed in the footsteps of Google and Facebook, adding a layer of security called Perfect Forward Secrecy to protect data that users would like kept from prying eyes. "On top of the usual confidentiality and integrity properties of HTTPS, Forward Secrecy adds a new property," Twitter explained in a blog post. "If an adversary is currently recording all Twitter users' encrypted traffic, and they later crack or steal Twitter's private keys, they should not be able to use those keys to decrypt the recorded traffic." The non-profit Electronic Frontier Foundation is among online rights champions who advocate for this kind of added protection on personal Internet traffic, accor...

According to the BBC, the software also analyses continuing interaction and flags messages that demands a more personal response. Google software engineer Ashish Bhatia said that it is often difficult for users to keep up with and reply to all the messages they are receiving and the software is intended to help them manage the data. In the patent, Bhatia envisions a sophisticated system that collects information about all the different social networks someone has joined and tracks what and how they respond t...

HTC One successor said to feature 5-inch 1080p display and KitKat   Back in April, we called the  HTC One the closest thing the world has ever seen to a no-compromise smartphone . Four months later when we pitted it against Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4, we said the HTC One was still the best smartphone on the planet. While HTC has struggled to get the phone into consumers’ hands thanks to tremendous competition (and massive marketing budgets) from Apple and Samsung, those who have bought the One seem to enjoy it very much for the most part. According to a new rumor, the One is about to get even better. We have seen  a few images leak that seemingly showed components from HTC’s upcoming One successor , code-named M8, and now  @evleaks claims to have confirmed some preliminary details. According to a post on his Twitter account on Friday, the next-generation HTC One will feature a 5-inch display with the same 1080p resoluti...

Rohit Sharma hits Rs 2 crore

Rohit Sharma hits Rs 2 crore       In 2011, when Rohit Sharma was going through one of his worst phases in cricket with inconsistent performance and being dropped from the world cup team, a leading news satire website wrote an article citing Rohit Sharma’s appointment as the brand ambassador for Maggi Noodles. The reason, according to the website was that Rohit would often go out to bat and come back in two minutes, making him their perfect brand ambassador. It was also a time when Rohit was hardly representing any brands in India while his team mates and juniors including Virat Kohli had landed themselves a number of brand endorsements. Cut to 2013, a double century in a one day match against Australia and a dream debut in Sachin Tendulkar’s second last test match in Kolkata in addition to being the captain of Mumbai Indians, has made Rohit one of the most sought after cricketer in India today. Steve Jobs reportedly called Android’s founder a ‘big, arrogant f**k’   It’s no secret that Steve Jobs did not have much affinity for his mobile competition at Google, going so far as to say he would destroy Android, which he considered to be a product that was stolen from Apple. His attacks appear to have been even more personal as Fred Vogelstein’s book,  Dogfight: How Apple And Google Went To War And Started a Revolution reveals.  Business Insider notes one especially provocative quote in which Jobs refers to Andy Rubin, the founder of Android, as a “big, arrogant f**k,” and Android itself as a “f**king rip off of what we’re doing.” Jobs later met with Rubin and Google executives Larry Page and Alan Eustace to force them to remove features from Android that were poised to be staples of the iPhone’s design, such as multitouch gestures and the ways users unlock their phones. Had Jobs not been so adamant, Andro...
